27 january 2015 About 50 invitees who attended the event to welcome the New Year 2015 in Indonesian Embassy in Astana looked to be enthusiastic about doing the interaction with staff, while enjoying the delights of the cuisine of Indonesian Archipelago and video regarding tourism, culture and development in Indonesia.
The event, which took place on 27 January 2015 has been regularly held by the Indonesian Embassy in Astana since 2013, when the first Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan began his work. Indonesian Embassy in Astana itself was officially opened by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia on December 29, 2010. New Year’s Gathering with Stake Holders, the title of this event was attended by representatives of the Business Community, Academia, Governments, Members of the Majelis, the Mass Media, and Friends of Indonesia among the people of Kazakhstan. In the year 2014, we witnessed progress in bilateral relations and cooperation between Indonesia and Kazakhstan that was marked by an increasing interaction and intensive official visits, business circles, academics and tourists of the two countries, including meetings of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and Kazakhstan in Bali at the end of August 2014, the visit of Finance Minister and the Governor of Bank Indonesia to Astana in May 2014, Indonesia Parliament Delegation's visit to Astana in September 2014, Some entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan’s participation in TEI 2014 in Jakarta, and the participation of Kazakhstan youth programs youth BSBI and Dharmasiswa students in Indonesia " as Ambassador mentioned his speech. Ambassador also explained the enthusiasm existence of the community to recognize Kazakhstan Indonesia closer tise in each of his visits to various provinces in Kazakhstan. To that end, in the near future Indonesian Embassy in Astana will open the Indonesian Cultural Centre in Astana as the venue for the people of Kazakhstan to know and deepen Indonesian cultural arts, including Indonesia Indonesian Language and Cuisines courses. Indonesian Embassy in Astana noted a tendency of increase of Kazakhstan tourists visiting Indonesia by 2014 amounts to 4274 people, experiencing an increase compared to 2013 amounts to 3693 people, and the year 2012 of 1455 people (August-December 2012, the Consular Service of the Embassy in Astana has since started to operate effectively). Also delivering opening remarks Mr. Serik Karymsakov, Honorary Consul of Indonesia as Chairman of Kazakhstan in Almaty-Indonesia Business Council, Mr. Kayrbolat Sayakhmetov, President of a Youth Business Council, and Ms. Renata Faizova PhD, Director of the Institute of Post-Graduate Studies and International Affairs, KazGYU. All three welcomed and expressed appreciation over the efforts of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana in effort to build relationships and enhance cooperation between Kazakhstan and Indonesia, as well as always ready to contribute and participate in the various activities of the Embassy in order to improve the bilateral relations of the two countries in various fields.
