The news about the exodus of villagers in District Lumbis Ogung, Regency of Nunukan to Sabah territory in Malaysia is not in accordance with the present facts and conditions.
This is confirmed based on the information obtained by Foreign Ministry from the managing official of Governor of North Kalimantan Irianto Lambrie, and from the District Head of Lumbis Ogung, Daud, and the press release of the local government, i.e. Regent of Nunukan, H. Basri and Commander of Military Resort 091. Brigjend TNI Nono Suharsono. Based on the field inspection by technical institution and local government and as the coordination result with Ministry of Domestic Affairs, Ministry of Defense, RI Army, and National Body of Border Management, the exodus of Indonesian citizens from Kinokod village, Simantipal and Sinapad to the Malaysian territory did not happen.
