Indonesia is the largest economy in south-east Asia, characterized by a mixed economy. In 2010, the estimated gross domestic product (nominal) of the country was US$706.73 billion, while the nominal per capita was estimated at US$3,015. The largest sector is the Indonesian economy is industry, accounting for 46.4% of the GDP. Services (37.1%) ranks second followed by agriculture (16.5%). Soybeans, corn, peanuts, asparagus, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, pineapples, bananas, mangoes, papaya, oranges, and beans are the major agricultural products. 

Manufacturing is a large sector; the major manufactured goods include textiles, clothing, footwear, cement, and chemical fertilizers. Japan, Singapore, the United States, and China are the major trading partners. The major imports include chemicals, fuels, machinery, and foodstuffs while electrical appliances, plywood, rubber, and textiles, oil and gas are the principal export items. When is the national day of Indonesia celebrated? The national day of Indonesia is celebrated on August 17 every year. The day is celebrated to commemorate the country's independence from the Japanese rule in 1945.
